1:40 - 2:00 pm - Redefining the in-store experience

This session will focus on trends in the new restaurant and foodservice formats that have emerged in global markets, in a variety of ways, to be more relevant to consumers in their markets. It is clear that the needs, priorities and preferences of consumers are more complex, as consumer lifestyles have adjusted to more modern, often more urban living arrangements.

An ageing society in Japan and a millennial swell in India mean that consumers in those markets need a unique set of dining occasions that make sense for them. New concepts are targeting less general, more specific dining occasions and consumer segments, with more relevant formats that cater to diverse consumer needs.
