QSR Media first organised the annual Detpak Conference & Awards in Sydney in 2014, and it has since become a landmark event for the quick service restaurant industry with over 500 senior executives from 70 brands in attendance.
This year, QSR Media Asia will bring the event to Singapore with the inaugural QSR Media Asia Detpak Conference and Awards 2018 to be held on the 24th of January at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel from 8:30am to 6pm.
Industry thought leaders
The full-day event will be packed with insightful presentations to be delivered by representatives from some of the biggest brands and sought after analysts in the industry.
Ciara Clancy, the NPD Group’s foodservice director in Australia and the APAC region, will be flying in from Sydney exclusively for the event to present key insights on the digital foodservice consumer, including growth drivers, consumer motivations and how their behaviour differs from that of the traditional way of ordering.
Executives from global brands such as Alaap Tatwawadi from Google; Richard Wallis and Srikant Nayak from KFC Asia; Pavel Dorosevich from Subway; Kelvin Tan from A&W Restaurants International; and Bryden Toh from BreadTalk Group will discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by a new generation of consumers and new technologies.
A leaders’ panel consisting of Steen Puggaard from 4FINGERS; Josh Bell from Guzman y Gomez; Ken Chen from Focus Brands; and Gregory Blakney from Sarpino's Pizzeria will give their insights on the state of the QSR industry today.
Jocelyn Cheung, analyst at Euromonitor International, will also discuss the new concepts in the niche foodservice formats that have emerged in the global market.
Third-party aggregators from Deliveroo, UberEATS, and foodpanda will be present at the event, and they will answer questions from home delivery to the cost of going digital in the present QSR landscape.
We also have sessions which will look at new trends and food technology in the kitchen that impact consumer tastes, as well as design trends relevant to the overall influence of QSR brands. These will be led by Jamaica Blue’s Food Manager Danika Heslop, Salad Stop’s Managing Director Adrien Desbaillets, Parable Studio’s Creative Director Ken Yuktasevi, and Mima Design’s Design Director Mark McConnell.
