Malaysia's QSR Brands said to mull USD 400m IPO in 2017

It's inviting bankers to pitch for roles next month.

A consortium that includes private-equity firm CVC Capital Partners is mulling an initial public offering for QSR Brands, an operator of KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in Malaysia, according to people familiar with the matter. The IPO could raise over USD 400m.

The Wall Street Journal revealed in a report that QSR Brands, including CVC and Malaysian pension fund Employees Provident Fund, are considering listing the franchise operator on the local stock exchange next year. QSR Brands is anticipated to bring in bankers to pitch for roles on the IPO next month, one of the people shared.
