The fast food chain will add 33 new restaurants and refurbish 86 others in the country.
In addition, as part of its three-year growth plan, McDonald's Malaysia will set aside RM100 million to develop drive-thru restaurants and for the refurbishment exercise.
McDonald's Malaysia managing director and operating partner Azmir Jaafar said that they are confident of strong double-digit growth this year.
"Last year was record breaking for us with an all-time high year-on-year revenue growth of 16%," he said.
McDonald's Malaysia also announced that it is looking to set aside an investment of RM1.4 billion to develop 450 restaurants over the next eight years.
