Deliveroo announced the launch of a “booster” fund aimed to support restaurants, customers and non-profit partners as they navigate COVID-19.
The fund comprises SG$350,000 worth of free delivery on restaurants who use their own delivery fleet and areas usual delivery radius until 11 October, SG$30,000 worth of discounts from Marks & Spencer on the platform’s new grocery category, up to SG$90,000 worth of vouchers for customers to use on local restaurant orders and a SG$10,000 pledge in donations to Food from the Heart.
The first 3,000 customers to shop on Marks & Spencer on the Deliveroo platform can enjoy SG$5 off SG$40 on their first two orders with a unique promo code.
The food firm previously launched a new tipping functionality over the circuit breaker period where customers could opt-in to add a tip to their order by nominating a tip amount to add to their bill. In the first four months since its launch, Deliveroo said it has helped raise over SG $110,000 for restaurant partners, and has matched restaurant tips amounting to about SG $18,000.
