After a much-publicized rebrand, Burger King is now the latest chain to get into the U.S. chicken sandwich battle, with the chain having been developing its own version and is apparently getting ready to roll it out this year, Restaurant Business reports. The chain’s largest U.S. franchisee Carrols said it plans to complete its rollout of the chicken sandwich to its restaurants by May. Read more here.

Taco Bell is resurrecting its popular potatoes and will test a menu item with a Beyond Meat substitute, understood as a move to bring back its vegetarian customers. CNBC reports that he exits of the cult-favorite Mexican Pizza and other items “angered” vegetarians even though the chain said it still had over 30 meat-free ingredients available to them. Grubhub has partnered with Lear Corporation's Xevo software business to enable contactless food ordering capabilities from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. As reported by Restaurant Dive, food orders are made through an app on the Uconnect Market connected service platform, which is available in 2019 and 2020 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram cars. McDonald's is facing three new sexual-harassment lawsuits, Business Insider has reported. Workers at franchised McDonald's locations in St. Louis, Los Angeles, and Kansas City, Missouri, have filed lawsuits against the company in recent weeks alleging sexual assault and harassment. Read more here.
