It’s trying to promote two new dipping sauces.
Diners have the chance to strike gold at McDonald’s Japan’s latest social media campaign, as the fast food chain is offering the chance to win an 18-karat golden chicken nugget with an estimated worth of US$1,500.
According to an ad by McDonald’s Japan, the contest is the restaurant chain’s attempt to promote its two new dipping sauces, cheddar cheese and “fruits curry.” The contest also debuts a new mascot, Kaito Nuggets.
Interested diners will have to track down clues through McDonald’s Japan’s social media. Meanwhile, 21 runners-up will be awarded a five-piece pack of nuggets for 39 days.
The contest will run from June 8-28, 2016.
