Max's Group eyes expansion following double digit growth

The company wants to be have 1000 outlets by 2020.

Max's Group reported profit growth of 12% in 2016 in light of rising sales across all brands. Total income was reported at P561.74 million for 2016, up from P501.39 million in 2015.

Restaurant sales grew 10% to P9.42 billion on the back of 77 new stores and strong same-store sales performance. The company’s online and delivery business delivered revenues rising 24% to P1.08 billion.

Max’s Group has over 600 stores, including 49 overseas. It is targeting 1000 outlets by 2020, 200 of them offshore.

The company operates brands including Yellow Cab Pizza, Pancake House, Sizzlin’ Steak and Max’s Restaurants.

CEO Peter H. King said, “We remain bullish on the pace of our global business. Our focus this year is to boost recurring income by accelerating store development. Nonetheless, we shall constantly be on the lookout for fresh territories.”

President Robert F. Trota said the company was able to execute successful strategies amidst “a rapidly intensifying competitive environment”.
