The platform looks to explore different ways to make it more sustainable.
Foodpanda Hong Kong announced it soft-launched its catering service for customers wanting options for at-home dinner gatherings, birthdays or corporate events.
Featuring over 80 brands, the new service’s current starting lineup includes restaurants such as Classified, Chickpea, Duck & Waffle, Wingman, KALE, HABITŪ, Lee Ho Sing, Jollibee, The Drunken Pot, Le Pain Quotidien, Seoul Bros, Calimex and Bombay Dreams, as well as catering companies including Catering by Vivian, Food Foundry, La Fête des Rois Catering and Relax Dim Sum.
“It’s been extremely meaningful for me to be able to extend our catering services which we’ve previously only had available for our corporate clients through our Corporate vertical - foodpanda for business, to the wider Hong Kong public, ensuring that everyone has access to delicious food catered for their every occasion,” Melissa Tsang, Foodpanda’s head of corporate development, said in a media release.
After the soft launch, Foodpanda said it will be exploring different ways to “integrate more sustainable practices in their catering services”, and will also be building out a catering team to focus on bringing on more restaurant partners and caterers.
