Max's Group assures public on poultry safety
It released a statement following the first outbreak of avian flu in the Philippines.
The statement reads:
"We at Max’s Group would like to assure the public that all our chicken and other poultry products are safe for consumption and are certified to be avian influenza-free.
Our suppliers have verified that all of their poultry flocks have been tested for avian influenza prior to processing and that they have found no incidence of poultry infection or poultry product contamination in their processing chain.
In addition, our suppliers’ poultry farms and processing plants are all located outside of Pampanga and are all operating under strict compliance with the requirements of the Department of Agriculture.
We are closely coordinating with our suppliers, concerned food industry councils, and the Department of Agriculture to ensure food, customer, and employee safety."
