Chibo to make its way to Indonesia
They plan to bring their overseas store count to 20 by 2020.
Japanese okonomiyaki chain Chibo will launch their first store in Indonesia on January 27 in Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta.
According to a report by the Jakarta Post, Jabbi Foods will operate the brand after signing a licensing agreement with Chibo Corporation.
The 188 sqm site has 90 seatings, and says that its menu items will have special dishes suitable to the mainly Muslim population.
The Japanese chain aims to extend their international store count to 20 by 2020 and plans to launch in Brazil, New York, London and Russia. Chibo currently has stores in Japan, China,, Hong Kong, Hawaii, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
