Jollibee eyes Canadian expansion, plans to open 100 sites in five years
The Filipino fast food chain says the country is a significant part of their North American expansion plan.
Jollibee Foods Corporation has told CityNews that it plans to open 100 stores in Canada within the next five years.
The wave of new locations stems from the brand's belief that the country is a key growth market and a big part of its North American expansion plans, in line with its "overarching goal to be among the top five restaurant brands globally".
Jollibee currently has two Winnipeg locations and a site in Scarborough since opening in 2016.
The chain hopes to further expand in Ontario, but is also exploring potential stores in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.
Jollibee Foods Corporation currently operates in 16 markets, with over 4,200 stores globally, of which 1,289 are Jollibee brand stores.
