Song Fa Bak Kut Teh to make its way in Taiwan

BreadTalk Group subsidiary Food Republic Taiwan will hold the franchise rights to develop the brand.

BreadTalk Group subsidiary Food Republic Taiwan has entered into a franchise agreement with Song Fa Holdings Pte. Ltd. to introduce the Song Fa Bak Kut Teh brand in Taiwan.

Under the agreement, Food Republic Taiwan will hold the franchise rights to develop and operate the brand in Taiwan over the next ten years.

BreadTalk Group, through another wholly-owned subsidiary, previously entered into a joint venture with Song Fa to operate and manage the brand in China. This BTG-Song Fa venture recently opened its first outlet in CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand, serving as the seventh outlet under this particular partnership.

“The team continues to work diligently with our partners to plan and holistically deliver the award-winning Song Fa dining experience to our consumers in China, Thailand and our first two outlets located in highly popular malls in Taipei. Both malls have strong existing tenants and are household names among the local populace and tourists alike,” BreadTalk Group CEO Henry Chu said in an announcement.
