Woodpeckers Group nabs Malaysian franchise for ChaTraMue

The group plans to open up to 10 outlets this year.

Malaysian F&B Group Woodpeckers Group has secured a national franchise agreement with Cha Thai International Company Limited, the brand owner of ChaTraMue.

For its initial roll-out, the 20-year franchise agreement between the two groups will see eight to 10 ChaTraMue outlets open this year.

ChatTraMue Malaysia will offer its signature Thai Milk Tea and Thai Coffee. According to the group, they plan to use the same Thai tea leaves which are produced exclusively for ChaTraMue brand to remain true to its taste.

The group aims to open nine outlets per quarter to bring its total store count to 40 by the end of 2024.

“With Malaysia being a tea-loving country, we see huge potential for ChaTraMue. Malaysians will surely enjoy the taste of this Number One Thai milk tea brand,” Woodpeckers Group Director Tan Kai Young said.
