This is part of a global expansion push to reach 500 restaurants.
Canadian chicken chain Mary Brown’s Chicken, known internationally as MB Chicken, will open in India in April.
Starting in April, the brand plans to open one restaurant every month this year, with an initial focus on New Delhi and the Punjab State.
The opening is part of a growth strategy, with MB Chicken planning to reach 500 restaurants.
Previously, the brand expanded in the UK, opening its first restaurant in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, on 21 February 2024.
Mary Brown's Chicken has over 280 locations across Canada and is growing. The brand is 100% Canadian-owned and was first established in St. John's, Newfoundland, in 1969.
The brand is known for its Big Mary, named Canada's Best Chicken Sandwich, and made-fresh methodology, including hand-cutting and hand-breading its Signature Chicken and Taters from farm-fresh Canadian ingredients.
The brand reported that it has had 18 years of consecutive same-store sales growth and has been awarded the Canadian Franchise Association's Franchisees' Choice Designation for 13 consecutive years.
