Jamie Oliver Kitchen continues Asia expansion with Bangkok store launch

The kitchen concept recently opened in Bali.

Jamie Oliver Kitchen’s all-day kitchen concept is slated to launch in Bangkok, Thailand by 28 November, days after opening a location in Bali, Indonesia.

In part of its expansion, two Jamie’s Italian sites at Bali Kuta Beach and Bangkok Siam Discovery, both under franchisee HPL, will be converted into the new concepts, which will offer “diverse and exciting” menu inspired by the celebrity chef’s journey for the past two decades.

“Over the past 20 years I have travelled around the world to discover exciting flavour combinations, picking up incredible influences along the way, Oliver said in a statement. “The new restaurants will bring those inspirations to life and serve some of my absolute all-time favourites. We have created a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy the food I truly love,” he added.

The Bali menu includes summer rolls, Oliver’s Insanity burger and beef cheek cooked in Indonesian spices. Whilst the Bangkok menu will feature the soft shell crab burger with green papaya salad and sriracha mayo.

“We wanted to add to our portfolio and create a concept that allows us to showcase the best of Jamie Oliver while giving our franchise partners in each market the flexibility to adapt menus to local tastes and trends,” Jamie Oliver Group chief executive Paul Hunt.

The concepts feature an open kitchen, cafe, flexible seating and bar dining.

The Jamie Oliver Group operates a total of 70 restaurants in 27 markets. The group plans to launch 19 stores before the end of 2020.
