McDonald’s sets up new Restaurant Experience Team
It will also introduce three new global category management teams focused on beef, chicken, and beverages and desserts.
McDonald’s has introduced a new Restaurant Experience Team to enhance its operations and efficiency.
The new team will bring together Operations, Supply Chain, Franchising, Development, Restaurant Design, Delivery, and Speedee Labs.
McDonald's will also introduce three new global category management teams focused on beef, chicken, and beverages/desserts.
“It just felt to me we could be moving faster,” said Chris Kempczinski, CEO and chairman of McDonald’s Corporation, in a LinkedIn video. “And being able to move faster meant again that we needed to be working in a more horizontal way, and moving faster on the implementation, I think, is going to be key for us to see the benefits associated with these big ideas.”
To lead this effort, McDonald’s has tapped Jill McDonald, currently President, of International Operated Markets (IOM), to the newly created role of Chief Restaurant Experience Officer, effective 1 May.
“Jill will also resume overall responsibility as the lead for our restaurant platform, working closely with Brian Rice and the technology team,” Kempczinski said.
