Indian operator of Domino's and Dunkin' reports 21.3% revenue increase for Q2
The growth is said to be driven by online sales of the said pizza brand.
Jubilant FoodWorks, the operator of Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts in India, has announced their second quarter results ended last September 30 with a 21.3% growth in terms of operating revenue to ₹8.81 billion from ₹7.27 billion of the same period last year.
This is said to be driven by the same store growth of Domino’s by 20.5%. Post-tax profit also rose 60.2% to ₹777 million.
“Despite significantly increased competitive intensity, Q2FY19 was yet another strong quarter delivered by our continued focus on the basics. Growth was driven by a strong and sustained momentum in Delivery Orders,” Jubilant FoodWorks CEO Pratik Pota said.
“In particular, our Digital focus showed good results with strong online sales growth, enabled by the new Domino’s App garnering strong user ratings and having a slew of innovative and user friendly features. Dunkin’ Donuts too delivered healthy growth and is moving towards profitability.”
