MK Restaurant Group acquires majority stake in Thai restaurant chain Laem Charoen Seafood
The deal is said to be aligned with the group’s strategy to expand the restaurant business in Thailand.
Thai-based MK Restaurant Group has acquired a 65% stake in local restaurant chain Laem Charoen Seafood for ฿2.06b (US$67.47m), through its 99.99% subsidiary Catapult Company Limited, an announcement revealed.
The investment is subject to the completion of the significant preceding conditions specified in the agreement and expected to be completed by December 2019. The deal is said to be aligned with the group’s strategy to expand the restaurant business in Thailand.
MK Restaurants is known as a suki restaurant chain.
