Sale of Dairy Queen, Papa John's China franchisee in play: report
Deliberations are at an early stage.
Swedish buyout firm EQT AB is considering a sale of China F&B Group, which operates Papa John’s Pizza and Dairy Queen outlets in the world’s second largest economy.
Citing people with knowledge of the matter, Bloomberg reported that Swedish private equity firm has held “preliminary discussions” with investment banks about a potential sale of its majority stake in China F&B.
According to their sources, a deal could value the franchise operator at about US$100m to US$200m.
EQT bought 57% of China F&B with other investors for an undisclosed amount in 2013.
