Dodo Pizza UAE wraps up Ramadan with kids' classes and Iftar meals
The UAE’s Ramadan economy is projected to reach $16.4b in 2026.
Dodo Pizza UAE wrapped up its Ramadan 2026 activities, which ran from 18 February to 22 March.
During the month, 409 children took part in the chain’s Kids’ Pizza Master Classes, whilst 1,650 Iftar boxes were distributed to delivery couriers.
As part of the campaign, the company offered its Moon Pizza—a crescent-shaped pizza available in chicken and vegetarian versions—created specifically for Ramadan.
Of the 409 children in the classes, 85 attended sessions focused on making the Moon Pizza themselves.
Parents often choose the traditional round pizza instead, citing its larger size.
In the masterclasses, children prepared, topped, and baked their own pizzas, receiving a finished slice, a drink, themed stickers, and a personalised diploma.
The UAE’s Ramadan economy is projected to reach $16.4b in 2026, with the holy month accounting for about 15% of annual household food spending.
Spending patterns this year focused on what people purchased during Ramadan.
The UAE’s online food delivery sector is also expected to grow at a 10.2% CAGR through 2033.
As part of its Ramadan initiative for delivery riders, Dodo Pizza UAE provided Iftar meals for couriers whenever a customer ordered a Ramadan-specific item.
Fasting hours during Ramadan reached up to 13 hours per day.
Whilst UAE labour law reduces private-sector working hours by two hours during Ramadan, this generally does not apply to shift-based roles such as delivery riders.
During the month, consumer behaviour shifted away from stocking up and dining out, with more people ordering in and seeking experience-based activities.
Research indicates that 83% of UAE families adjust their food consumption during Ramadan, with a growing interest in family-centred experiences.
