KFC's Zero Chicken Burger arrives in Malaysian stores

The chain looks to get a share of the growing market for meat alternatives.

KFC’s Zero Chicken Burger, the chain’s latest plant-based and meatless burger, has now arrived at their Malaysian stores.

In collaboration with meat substitute brand Quorn, the item carries a halal-certified meat-free patty coated in KFC’s secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices topped with a sliced cheese and freshly shredded lettuce, then drizzled with Spicy BBQ sauce and mayonnaise between sesame buns.

The chain clarified that the Zero Chicken Burger is neither vegan nor vegetarian as it is prepared sharing the same cooking equipment as other KFC products.

The Zero Chicken Burger was earlier launched at their Singapore outlets.
