Starbucks integrates ‘Bar Mixato' concept in Shanghai Reserve store
The location is expected to be a hub for the coffee giant’s cocktail innovations.
Starbucks in China announced the launch of its ‘Bar Mixato’ concept in their Reserve store in Shanghai.
The location’s cocktail bar features 11 coffee- and tea-based drinks, along with Italian aperitivo, wine, draft beer and mocktails. The menu will be refreshed quarterly based on the flavors of new Starbucks Reserve coffees.
The bar itself was personally designed by Starbucks global design officer Liz Muller and is managed by 2019 Chivas Bartender Competition China winner Timothee Becqueriaux and his team of 20 mixologists.
“As Starbucks’ Innovation Lab in China, we will continue to leverage the Starbucks Reserve Roastery to pilot and gradually scale new products and offerings that our Chinese customers love,” chairman and CEO Belinda Wong said in a statement.
