Papa Johns Korea launches fried chicken brand

The first store opened in Seoul.

Pjikorea Ltd, the operator of Papa Johns Korea has launched an American-style fried chicken brand in South Korea.

Called Mama Chicken, the first store opened in the Mapo district in western Seoul, a report by Yonhap said.

The brand said they aim to go head-to-head against other popular American-style fried chicken brands in the country. Pjikorea Ltd. said they plan to open a second store this year and start a franchise business by next year, with a long-term outlook of operating up to 1,000 stores by 2035.
