Zomato shutters operations in the Philippines

The restaurant aggregator first entered the market in 2013.

Zomato has stopped its operations in the Philippines.

The Indian restaurant aggregator and food delivery service provider did not reveal its reasons for leaving the country.

“Goodbye Philippines! It has been a great run but we have, sadly, stopped our operations here! You can still explore dine-in restaurants and order amazing food on Zomato in India and UAE!,” the notice posted on Zomato’s website said.

In November 2020, following the halt of its premium service in Indonesia, Zomato stopped its Zomato Pro membership programme in the Philippines.

Zomato first entered the Philippines in 2013, which marked its first entry into the Southeast Asian market.
