KFC franchisor to set up 50 drive-thru outlets at Petronas stations
The agreed expansion will take place in the next three years.
Aiming to expand its business and restaurant services in Malaysia, QSR Stores has signed a memorandum of understanding with Petronas Dagangan to gradually open 50 new KFC Drive-Thru outlets at Petronas stations nationwide.
QSR Stores is a wholly-owned subsidiary QSR Brands (M) Holdings, who in turn is the franchisor of KFC in Malaysia. Currently, it has over 1,250 KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia – making it the region’s largest quick service restaurant operator.
QSR Brands Managing Director Datuk Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil said this strategic collaboration with PDB will provides an "excellent opportunity for QSR Brands to expand its business and restaurant services for the next three years."
“As a market leader within the quick service restaurants segment in Malaysia, we want our service to be easily accessible to customers. While continuing to strengthen our core product and service offerings to deliver excellent customer experiences, we place a great emphasis on our expansion strategies to meet the elevated demands of our customers today and tomorrow,” he said.
