Pacific Coffee partners with IBM to launch first ‘smart' cafe
The coffee chain is looking to cut costs whilst improving customer experience.
Pacific Coffee has partnered with information technology company IBM to launch their LUKE store, the chain’s first outlet with a smart cafe format to improve user experience and cut costs.
China Daily reports that IBM provided the site’s digital menus, tabletop scan-and-order services, smart shelves, ebooks about coffee culture, and hand-held devices dedicated to their baristas.
The new store format aims to offer customers more considerate and personalized services as the company hopes to maximise the use of customer behavior data, conduct personal precision marketing analysis and improve its operational efficiencies.
