Deliveroo SG seeks to collect $90,000 for food charity community shops
It installed a donation feature to help raise the money.
Deliveroo Singapore installed the in-app feature to allow customers to round up their orders and donate to food charity, Food from the Heart (FFTH).
This is in efforts to help community shops on World Food Day amidst the rising cost of living.
Deliveroo said it expects to raise $90,000 in six months, which will reach 2,200 families and individuals who are grappling with inflation.
“The initiative is part of Deliveroo’s global community-focused campaign, Full Life, which aims to utilise its unique network of riders, restaurants and grocers to support communities in cities where Deliveroo operates,” said Deliveroo.
Donations will reach FFTH’s community shops, which helps needy families.
“Our new in-app round-up donation feature will enable our customers to easily lend a hand to support families who have been hard hit by the rising prices of basic food items. Our past collaborations with FFTH have proven successful,” said Jason Parke, General Manager, Deliveroo Singapore.
