Jamba to opens 50 locations in Japan by 2025
The smoothie chain currently has two locations in the country.
Focus Brands-owned Jamba, previously known as Jamba Juice, has signed a 50-unit deal to expand in Japan by 2025.
The expansion plan is done with local partner ADASTRIA eat Creations Inc., which has already opened two sites in Tokyo. Specific locations for the planned 50 outlets were not indicated.
“Japan is an ideal market for Jamba as we continue our international growth,” Beto Guajardo, president of FOCUS Brands International, said in a media release.
Jamba’s Japan expansion is expected to showcase the brand’s evolution announced last year, featuring menu innovation, enhanced digital accessibility and a refreshed brand look and feel, as well as a new store design.
“Our research shows there’s a growing demand for great tasting juices and smoothies in Asia and we’re eager to bring our reimagined menu and store design to customers all across the region,” added Geoff Henry, president of Jamba.
Jamba currently has more than 850 locations operating in 36 U.S. states, as well as the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand and Japan.
