Kenny Rogers Roasters and Jollibean to open in India
India also marks the first overseas market for Jollibean after Singapore.
Berjaya Food Bhd (BFood) signed a memorandum of understanding with World Iconic Brands Hospitality Pte Ltd (WIB) to bring 30 Kenny Rogers Roasters (KRR) and 75 Jollibean kiosks to India.
The Sun Daily reports that WIB will be investing US$50 million for the said expansion project over the next five years.
Jollibean and KRR are brands under BFood, which is operates Starbucks in Malaysia and Brunei through subsidiary Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd.
KRR restaurants are currently present in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India and Dubai. Jollibean, meanwhile, is currently only located in Singapore.
