Survey reveals the top 10 fast-food brands in the world
A survey reveals that the top 10 fast-food brands are valued at $340b.
With a brand value of $191b, McDonald’s is the number one fast food brand in the world, according to this year’s Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Global Brands report.
According to the report, fast food brands were amongst the most resilient this year, with fast food brands dropping only 4% in value compared to the 20% overall drop in the Global Top 100.
Following McDonald’s is Starbucks valued at $61.5b in the rankings. The report said that both opened thousands of new stores across the world, building a wider audience, particularly in China and the broader Asian market, where lockdowns had previously put a halt on expansion plans.
They are followed by KFC ($22b), Chipotle ($13.3b), and Subway ($11b). Pizza brands Domino’s and Pizza Hut were at sixth and seventh respectively. Then they are followed by Burger King, Taco Bell, and Chik Fil-A.
However, compared to a year before, each of the top 10 brands’ value dipped slightly.
“Fast food brands are uniquely positioned to innovate and increase their brand value as recession looms for many – from creating an improved in-store experience, as collection vs delivery rates increase, to finding iconic moments that transform the customer experience. At a time when many households are tightening their budgets, continuing to streamline operations will also remain important to win over hearts and wallets by showing to consumers fast-food brands are on their side,” Martin Guerrieria, Head of Kantar BrandZ said.
