Jollibee seeks investment opportunities in China, US
The bee is looking for new flowers.
Seeking continued growth, the food conglomerate Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) announced that it is looking for new companies to acquire in the US and China.
JFC chief financial officer Ysmael Baysa said that the company was focusing on locations outside the Philippines, where it is based, and is eying its biggest markets.
This follows the company's plans to bring Smashburger, the US-based burger chain it had acquired last year, to Asia.
JFC is the largest food service operator in the Philippines. Its lineup includes brands like Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal and Burger King.
