Deliveroo Singapore to make virtual deliveries in ‘Animal Crossing'

Players will also receive promo codes for real-life prizes.

Deliveroo Singapore is making their way to the world of the popular Nintendo game Animal Crossing, offering gamers a chance to receive a special delivery from the platform’s virtual riders.

On 30 May, players must comment on Deliveroo Singapore’s Facebook page between 11am to 2pm. The first 50 participants will receive a Facebook Message with a queue number and approximate delivery time, similar to a real-life order.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the highly-anticipated follow-up to the social simulation game, where users a human who relocates to a desert island alongside animal villagers. It has since been praised for its gameplay and timing – it came out just as most of the world was forced to stay at home to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Deliveroo users will also have a chance to win a free Nintendo Switch by ordering a ‘Family Bundles’ deal on the app and using the promo code ‘SNATCHASWITCH’.
