BreadTalk Singapore introduces first-ever ‘Impossible' bun

The chain is the first bakery in the Lion City to collaborate with Impossible Foods.

BreadTalk Singapore has collaborated with Impossible Foods to launch their first-ever plant-based meat bun — dubbed the Impossible Pepper.

The new item features Impossible Foods’ plant-based meat filling cooked with turnips in a homemade black pepper sauce, stuffed inside a charcoal bun topped with crispy rice puffs.

BreadTalk said its team had experimented using several cooking methods before settling on the Asian-inspired recipe.

In addition to the Impossible Pepper, BreadTalk also launched two new healthier-for-you buns: the Flax Flax — a bun filled with flax seeds, and the Boing Boing, the chain’s first non-wheat flour creation.

All three items are available at the chain’s e-store and via delivery.
