KFC Indonesia's Spicy Chocolate Chicken draws flak from netizens
According to one Twitter user, the brand has "gone too far".
KFC has launched novelty menu items such as the Double Down sandwich with fried chickens as buns, and the Chizza pizza with fried chicken base instead of dough. In Indonesia, the brand has recently introduced another attempt at creativity: spicy chocolate chicken.
The limited-edition Chochiks features crispy chicken drizzled with spicy chocolate sauce. Customers can order it with rice and a glass of soda or just the chicken. Prices start at Rp 19,000 (US$1.4).
According to The Jakarta Post, netizens immediately flocked to the chain's social media accounts to express their opinion on the recent menu.
