Starbucks Singapore expands plant-based food menu
The chain plans to also have plant-based beverages in the coming months.
Starbucks has expanded its plant-based food menu in Singapore, introducing a couple items made with plant-based startup Impossible Foods.
The Impossible Pasta Salad Bowl features Impossible’s plant-based meatballs, fusilli pasta, broccoli, French beans, baby corn and cherry tomatoes, served with nutty soy sesame dressing.
The chain’s Impossible Pie features ground Impossible Burger within a medley of gherkins, tomato sauce and layers of melted cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky short-crust pastry.
Both items are available at all Starbucks stores island-wide and through delivery through Deliveroo, Foodpanda, and GrabFood.
“We know our customers are increasingly interested in plant-based food and beverage choices, and we’re excited to bring these innovative new additions to our menu,” said Patrick Kwok, general manager, Starbucks Singapore. “In addition to our two plant-based core food items, we are looking forward to expanding our beverage menu with plant-based options in the coming months as well.”
“Impossible Foods is on a mission to make the global food system sustainable and having these dishes widely available to customers across the island, and all year-round, takes us another step close to achieving this,” added Nick Halla, SVP of International at Impossible Foods.
