Starbucks to open in Shanghai Disney Resort
It’s the first flagship store in a Disney Resort in Asia.
Starbucks will be launching its maiden flagship site in a Disney Resort in Asia, as it announced the opening of its Shanghai Disney Resort outlet.
According to Starbucks’ news release, located in the new Disneytown at Shanghai Disney Resort, the flagship store launches on June 8.
“Designed to be a respite in the customer’s day, the store and the nearly 110 partners (employees) working there, will bring to life the craft of coffee in an immersive environment which will include new menu ordering options through a variety of mobile devices,” Starbucks notes.
With this latest flagship store, China will be the only market in Starbucks China and Asia Pacific to pioneer and operate four flagship sites.
“China today represents the most significant and exciting opportunity ahead for Starbucks and our aspiration is to delight our customers and partners throughout China with an extraordinary store experience,” said John Culver, group president, Starbucks China and Asia Pacific.
“We expect the Starbucks Disneytown flagship store to be one of our busiest stores globally, serving and bringing the unique Starbucks Experience to thousands of customers daily,” Culver added.
The site will also be Starbucks’ first China outlet to feature a digital menu. Customers will be able to order their food and beverages through handheld mobile devices at the store, or use their own personal mobile devices.
