Yess Pizza unveils first-of-a-kind pizza ATMs in India
Machines make, deliver pizzas in four minutes.
Yess Pizza is bringing India’s pizza scene to the twenty-first century, as the chain launched Anytime Pizza Machines (APMs) that operate without the need of human supervision.
According to the chain’s media release, the APMs allow customers to choose dough type and toppings, as well as watch the pizzas being made. The pizzas are then packed in sealed containers before being served to customers. Customers are also guaranteed to receive their pizzas in in four minutes flat.
The machines are operated like vending machines. The consumer selects their pizza variant, inserts a token and need only wait to have the pizza delivered to him.
"Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the Indian market. While we have quick take-aways for burgers, wraps and other food items, in order to have a freshly baked pizza, a consumer is generally required to wait for about 20-30 minutes on an average,” commented Mitesh Thacker, Managing Director at Yess Pizza.
“Hence, it is more often consumed with friends and family during a lengthy meal. With the introduction of Yess Pizza APMs, we want to make pizza accessible to people anywhere, anytime and more importantly on the go, cutting the long wait of 20-30 minutes to just 4 minutes," he added.
