Tim Ho Wan hits 17-year Michelin milestone
Its Sham Shui Po location received the Bib Gourmand designation in the 2026 edition.
Tim Ho Wan, the Hong Kong dim sum chain now part of the Jollibee Group, has again been listed in the Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau, with its Sham Shui Po location receiving the Bib Gourmand designation in the 2026 edition.
The Bib Gourmand highlights restaurants that deliver quality food at good value.
This marks the 17th year in a row the Sham Shui Po branch has been included in the guide—a milestone coming in Tim Ho Wan’s first full year under Jollibee ownership, following the acquisition in January 2025.
In the past year, the chain has concentrated on improving its operational systems, chef training, and food quality.
Tim Ho Wan was founded in Hong Kong in 2009 by chefs Mak Kwai Pui and Leung Fai Keung.
The chain quickly gained attention after earning a Michelin star within its first year, and its Sham Shui Po location, which opened in 2010, has remained a consistent fixture in the Michelin Guide.
