McDonald's Singapore apologises for tech meltdown amid sleepwear offer

A dedicated pre-order site will be up and running by 11 October.

McDonald’s Singapore has apologised for its website meltdown that has prevented customers from buying items from their McDelivery Night In Loungewear Collection.

Whilst their McDelivery web and app platforms are now operational, the offer for their pajamas remains “temporarily unavailable”.

“We’re working on getting a dedicated pre-order site up by Fri, 11 October (afternoon), so you can place your PJs Loungewear orders with us,” the fast food giant said in a post issued on their Facebook page.

The site meltdown caused an uproar on social media, with some of the goods ending up on the Carousell app for around SG$50 (US$36).

The McDelivery Night In Bundle set, which came with a box of chicken wings, nuggets, and pajamas featuring a top with a hamburger and french fry design printed on them and a pair of yellow shorts, was for S$24.90 (US$18) and was only available for purchase via the app or website.

“Meantime, you may continue to redeem a free Eye Mask (part of Loungewear Collection) with a promo code combined with a minimum McDelivery order of $18, as per current mechanics, while stocks last,” McDonald’s added.
