Deliveroo Singapore launches ‘cash out' feature
The Lion City is the first in Asia to implement this new feature for riders.
Deliveroo riders in Singapore can now get paid quicker following the food delivery company’s launch of its new ‘Cash Out’ feature.
Through the initiative, riders can opt to receive their fees the next day at the tap of a button.
Singapore is Deliveroo’s first market in Asia to implement this new feature for riders.
Riders in the island-nation currently receive their earnings on a fortnightly basis. Since its global launch in March, 70% of Deliveroo’s riders have used Cash Out, and up to 25% of active riders on a given day will use it to access their pay. Deliveroo is also seeing riders cash out more than once a week, at an average of every four to five days, with Sundays being the biggest day.
“With Cash Out, they now have the flexibility to access their earnings on-demand. This is great news for riders who’ve told us that they would like to be able to quickly access their earnings, especially in times of emergency when they need extra funds urgently,” says Deliveroo Singapore general manager Siddharth Shanker.
