Foodpanda's expanded delivery services now in Hong Kong
Meanwhile, its Singapore business launched a whole-day groceries delivery service.
Foodpanda recently launched its expanded delivery services in Hong Kong, following its pilot in Singapore in October.
The new service called pandamart delivers groceries and convenience store items from over 1,000 retailers, including Circle K, promising to deliver orders within 15 minutes.
“This move fulfills the growing needs of both our current customers and new customers for greater convenience, variety beyond just food, and reliable delivery times across Hong Kong,” Foodpanda Hong Kong CEO Arun Makhija said in a statement.
Now with 4,000 riders on the island, the firm eyes 3,000 shops running on its platform this year.
Meanwhile, the Singapore business now offers its latest whole-day delivery service, pandanow, which is operated and supplied through the firm’s own inventory.
“With five live pandanow outlets and more in the pipeline, there is huge potential in the growth of this concept,” Singapore managing director Luc Andreani previously announced in a separate statement.
In 2019, orders via Foodpanda across APAC grew six times with an average delivery time of 22 minutes over the preceding year.
