Gong Cha Singapore partners with Wirecard to integrate cashless payments
The bubble tea chain currently has 25 outlets in the Lion City.
Gong Cha in Singapore announced that it will utilise Wirecard’s payment technology for in-store POS (point of sale).
Specifically, all of their 25 stores in the island-nation will use Wirecard’s payments acceptance services at their POS, including their cashless kiosks. With Wirecard’s technology, Gong Cha customers can now pay for their orders using their EZ-Link card, one of Singapore’s most widely used contactless payment solutions for public transport, retail, and government services.
“As payments in Singapore continue to digitalize, we find it essential to offer our customers the same digital experience they expect from any major retailer or service provider island-wide,” Gong Cha chief operations officer Andy Oh said in a statement.
“We are excited to cooperate with Gong Cha, one of Singapore’s major bubble tea brands, to enable digital payments for customers all over the country, which is rapidly going into a cashless society,” added Judith Loh, Head of Relationship Management, APAC, Sales at Wirecard.
