The platform is also calling others within the industry to roll out support measures.
Foodpanda Hong Kong announced a new series of support measures worth up to HK$3 million to provide over 12,000 food vouchers for people in need, as well as specific initiatives for our restaurant and shop vendors, and their delivery fleet,
The platform earmarked HK$1 million for the food vouchers to 15 local charities, which can be applied to all restaurants on their app delivery or pick-up.
The HK$2 million investment, meanwhile, is allotted for the waived monthly listing fee for restaurant partners, a dedicated express registration link for F&B staff to apply to join as couriers, free distribution of 7,000 rapid COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits for their delivery fleet, an extension of their fleet’s COVID-19 insurance plan amongst others.
“Apart from providing additional support through various initiatives, we hope that we can also encourage others within the industry to roll out support measures too, as we all fight to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic together,” Foodpanda Hong Kong managing director Ryan Lai said in a media release.
