McDonald’s Singapore distributes over 4,000 meals to migrant workers for Deepavali
The chain also developed and shared a digital greeting card, designed for migrant workers to send messages of encouragement as well as holiday greetings.
McDonald’s Singapore announced it distributed more than 4,000 McDonald’s meals on November 2, to residents and staff of The Leo and Westlite Juniper dormitories ahead of Deepvali.
Beneficiaries received specially curated meals including the Chicken McCrispy, an Apple Pie and a canned drink. Meals were also specially catered for vegetarians.
“We know it has been another long and challenging year for our migrant workers – the heroes in our community whose contributions we do not take for granted. We hope our small gesture of appreciation will help light up their smiles this Deepavali even as they think of their families back home,” McDonald’s Singapore general manager Benjamin Boh said in a media release.
McDonald’s also developed and shared a digital greeting card, designed for migrant workers to send messages of encouragement as well as holiday greetings to their friends and families both locally and abroad.
