Starbucks Korea expands number of stores selling Teavana drinks range

The chain launched its first Teavana-specialized store in September 2016.

Starbucks Korea has expanded the number of Reserve stores selling Teavana drinks to 52 from 13, the Korea Herald has reported.

According to the coffee chain, sales of tea drinks have grown about 20% percent annually since it launched its first Teavana-specialized store in September 2016.

Its flagship Honey Ruby Grapefruit Black Tea, which was rolled out in 2016, is now the chain’s third-most-frequently ordered drink, after Americano and caffe latte, amongst customers in their 20s.

Starbucks Korea also said that sales of green tea drinks also rose 35% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.
