McDonald’s Japan chair and former CEO resigns
The notice said she was resigning because of personal reasons.
McDonald’s Japan’s Representative Director and Chairperson of the Board Sarah Casanova has resigned from her position.
“Due to personal reasons, she will resign from the positions of Representative Director and Chairperson of the Board and Director at the conclusion of the company's 22nd Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for March 26, 2024,” McDonald’s notice said.
Previously, Casanova served as president and CEO of McDonald’s Japan. Casanova began her career in Canada, before moving to McDonald’s Malaysia and then finally Japan.
A replacement has not yet been announced.
