Starbucks Japan unveils new cola frappucino drink
This is the first time the chain introduces cola-flavoured drinks in Japan.
Starbucks Japan is releasing two new drinks, the Starbucks Cola Frappuccino and the Creamy & Sweet Milk Coffee.
The drinks were inspired by retro American diners.
The Starbucks Cola Frappuccino offers the refreshing sensation of a carbonated beverage with a base of the original cola flavour. It has a combination of spice and lime flavours and is topped with vanilla-flavoured whipped cream with espresso and bright red cherry is reminiscent of a good old-fashioned American diner.
Meanwhile, the Creamy & Sweet Milk Coffee comes with chocolate-flavoured syrup paired with store-brewed iced coffee, milk, and milk coffee with vanilla syrup. The drink is topped with coffee-flavoured whipped cream, it’s a super rich and sweet cup of coffee.
At the same time, Starbucks Japan will also be offering new food items on its menu. The Mixed Parfait Cake is inspired by a mixed parfait; Malasada Custard Cream, which is made with a rich custard cream injected into a doughy texture and Waffle Sandwich Bacon and Egg Cheese, with an addictive sweet and spicy flavour.
The releases also come with a series of mugs with a retro-pop coffee shop-style logo design, glasses with legs reminiscent of a good old American diner, and pin badges with drink motifs as symbols of this theme.
All of this will be available starting 15 March.
