
Foodpanda’s Hong Kong unit rolls out Apple Pay
It can be used to pay over 1,000 restaurants.
Foodpanda (stylised as foodpanda) is bringing Apple Pay to it Hong Kong customers, according to the food delivery service’s media release.
Customers can now use the digital wallet to pay for their orders from any of the over 1,000 restaurants in partnership with Foodpanda Hong Kong.
Moreover, Foodpanda Hong Kong assures its customers of the security and ease of use of Apple Pay.
“Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you add a credit or debit card to Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers,” Foodpanda Hong Kong asserts.
“Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code,” it adds.
Currently, Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro.
