Deliveroo, Feeding Hong Kong launch ‘No Food Wasted Cooking Challenge’
They will launch a series of events on 16 October to reduce food waste.
Food app Deliveroo and Feeding Hong Kong rolled out a “No Food Wasted Cooking Challenge” to encourage zero food waste to mark World Food Day.
“As part of Deliveroo's global Full Life campaign, the activations come as Deliveroo wishes to bring attention to the 3,200 tonnes of food that are sent to landfills in Hong Kong every day, while over one-fifth of the city’s population lives below the poverty line and experiences food insecurity,” read the statement.
The challenge will run until 11 October where foodies must create delicious dishes that leave zero food waste. Winners will be given HK$1,016 Deliveroo grocery vouchers.
The social media challenge can be done in these three simple instructions:
1. Create a video of less than three minutes showing how to cook a sustainable dish
2. Upload the video to Facebook or Instagram and tag Deliveroo and Feeding Hong
Kong. Make sure to include the hashtag #NoFoodWastedCookingChallenge2022
